City Manager’s Statement
City Manager
Norton Bonaparte, Jr.
Fiscal Year 2018 (October 1, 2017 to September 30, 2018) has
been a rewarding year. Sanford has seen more growth than in the
last 20 years combined. This report contains accomplishments
across all city departments working within a citywide budget of
$116 million administering programs and services integral to the
city, its residents and visitors. Your dedicated and professional city
staff continue to provide excellent customer service to our 60,000
residents.
We are fortifying the increased need for citizen engagement and
communication with our open for business concept. The City
of Sanford has several major capital projects in the pipeline,
Riverwalk Phase 3, Heritage Park and the 17-92 Beautification
project just to name a few. Working together with the
community, the City of Sanford is on par for another great year.
