AB 361 has authorized public meetings to take place via teleconference because State and Local officials are recommending measures to promote social distancing. The Public Safety Commissioners, City staff, and members of the public will participate in Council Chambers located at 625 N. San Vicente Boulevard, West Hollywood, California 90069 and/or via teleconference using the Zoom platform. The meeting may also be viewed on various platforms. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
To comply with the American with Disabilities Act of 1990, Assistive Listening Devices (ALD) will be available for checkout at the meeting. Members of the public shall be permitted to speak on each item of business on the agenda when the item is taken up and before action is taken on the item by the Commission. Each speaker shall have a three (3) minute period to speak; time cannot be ceded to another speaker. In order to facilitate the conduct of the meeting, the Chair or the Commission may lengthen or shorten the three (3) minute period for all speakers on a particular agenda item based on the number of persons in attendance wishing to speak or the complexity of the matter under consideration. The “Public Comments” item shall be limited to items on the Consent Calendar (and not pulled therefrom) and matters not on the agenda but within the subject matter jurisdiction of the Commission. An individual may speak only once during “Public Comments”, either at the first or second public comments period.

9A. REPORT FROM FIRE DEPARTMENT – MONTHLY REPORT
Subject: Fire personnel will present a report on Fire Department activity for the month of July 2022.
Recommendation: Receive and provide input.
9B. REPORT FROM BLOCK BY BLOCK SECURITY AMBASSADORS – MONTHLY REPORT
Subject: Block by Block personnel will present a report on Block by Block Security Ambassador activity for the month of July 2022.
Recommendation: Receive and provide input.
9C. SHERIFF’S REPORT – MONTHLY REPORT
Subject: Sheriff’s personnel will present a report on Sheriff’s Department activity for the month of July 2022.
Recommendation: Receive and provide input.
9D. COMMISSION WORK PLAN, REQUEST TRACKING, AND COMMISSION CALENDAR
Subject: Commissioners will discuss work plan project, previous requests, and review the upcoming schedule of agenda items.
Recommendation: Receive and provide input.
10. NEW BUSINESS
10A. INTERNATIONAL HOLOCAUST REMEMBERANCE ALLIANCE
Subject: To provide information on the definition of antisemitism.
Recommendation: Provide a memo to City Council to adopt the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliances definition of antisemitism.
11. ITEMS FROM STAFF
Update to be provided by the Director of Community Safety.
12. PUBLIC COMMENTS
This time is set aside for the public to address the Commission on any item of interest within the subject matter jurisdiction of the Commission that could not be heard under Item 7 at the beginning of the meeting.
