The Human Services Commission values your comments; however, pursuant to the Ralph M. Brown Act, the Commission cannot act on items not listed on the posted agenda. The public comment period is three (3) minutes per speaker, to address the Commission on agenda items or items of general interest within the jurisdiction of the Commission.

 

 

2.            CONSENT CALENDAR

A.           HIV PREVENTION MONTH AMIDST THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC

The Human Services Commission will receive an update on the activities planned for HIV Prevention Month

 

Recommendation: Receive and file.

 

B.           UPDATE ON THE UTILIZATION OF WEST HOLLYWOOD EMERGENCY FUNDS IN RESPONSE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC   

The Human Services Commission will receive an update on the utilization of West Hollywood emergency funds in response to COVID-19 since declaration of local emergency on March 16, 2020.

 

Recommendation:  Receive and file.

 

 

C.           AMENDEMENT TO AGREEMENT WITH BET TZEDEK LEGAL SERVICES

The Human Services Commission will receive an update on the agreement with Bet Tzedek Legal Services to provide legal representation to West Hollywood tenants facing potential eviction proceedings.

 

Recommendation: Receive and file.

 

 

3.            UNFINISHED BUSINESS – None.

 

 

4.            NEW BUSINESS

A.           2019-20 MID-YEAR REPORT ON SOCIAL SERVICES PROGRAMS

The Human Services Commission will receive the 2019-20 mid-year report on   Social Services contract programs.

 

Recommendation:  Receive and discuss the mid-year report.

This time has been set aside for members of the public who were unable to address the Commission during the public comment period at the beginning of the meeting.

 

7.            ITEMS FROM COMMISSIONERS

During this time, in accordance with Section 4.7 of the Human Services Commission bylaws, any member of the Commission may request that an item of business within the Commission's subject matter jurisdiction be added to a future agenda. Such requests are subject to the approval of the Commission.

 

8.            ADJOURNMENT

The Human Services Commission will adjourn to its next regular meeting TBD *via teleconference.
