2023 Sarasota County Consolidated Major Revenue and Debt Report

Also, a new Emergency Services Administration Building will be constructed. A portion of the proceeds will be used to refinance certain loans from the Commercial Paper Loan Program of the Florida Local Government Finance Commission. $39,020,000 Utility System Revenue Refunding Bonds, Series 2023 to finance a portion of the costs of the acquisition and construction of additions, extensions and improvements to the County’s Utility System and to pay the costs of issuance of the Series 2023 Bonds. Sarasota County has total outstanding debt of $807 million for fiscal year 2023, which is an increase of $4.4 million from the prior year. The County monitors its outstanding debt in relation to the debt market, when cost savings can be realized the debt will be refunded. NEW DEBT
