Fines include revenues received from fines and penalties imposed for the commission of statutory offenses, violation of lawful administrative rules and regulations, and for the neglect of official duty. Forfeitures include revenues resulting from confiscating deposits or bonds held as performance guarantees and proceeds from the sale of contraband property seized by law enforcement agencies. Total County fines and forfeitures totaled $3.2 million in fiscal year 2023. Other revenues collected include moving violations fines, federal forfeitures, parking fines, library fines, building permit fines, confiscated property, and fines for violating local ordinances.
