As stated in Section 5.25, this method of procurement serves “to provide a more complete contract solution to meet our members’ needs.” The Fleet Services Division maintains that “Sarasota Berg plug,” “4‐corner strobes,” upfitting equipment and any other item that is attached to a vehicle that requires meeting Sarasota County specific requirements can be purchased utilizing this agreement to make sure County‐wide Departments receive a turn‐key product. However, any upfitting equipment or item purchased under this agreement that is not outlined in the pricelist will have supporting documentation by the vendor indicating the source and price. It is now a requirement of Procurement that when a purchase order is requested based on an approved cooperative purchase (aka piggyback) that a crosswalk between the fee schedule and the quote is provided to reflect line by line pricing matches, ensuring the quote matches the discounted prices offered by the cooperative.
